BELLVILLE: Mary Morrison Castetter, 98, of Lexington, Ohio passed away Saturday evening November 24, 2012 in Country Meadow Care Center.
Born June 1, 1914 in Morrow County, Ohio to Riley and Victoria (Grogg) Morrison, she had been a lifelong area resident.
Mary was a member of the former United Methodist Church in Bellville and currently a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, a member of Bellville Senior Citizen's Club and enjoyed camping, gardening and crocheting.
Mary also worked at Five Points Dairy and Hi-Lo Trailer Co. both in Butler.
She is survived by her daughter Judy of Bellville, OH; a son and daughter-in-law Fred & Louise Barr of Mifflin; grandchildren Alan & Gretchen Freeman, David Freeman, Frank and Olga Freeman, Adam & Airika Freeman, Kimberly & John Yost and Donald Barr; great grandchildren Ashley (Eric), Jarrod and Heath, Juan, Juliana and LiAnna; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald Castetter on November 11, 1965, an infant daughter Janice Marie Barr and son-in-law Truman Freeman.
Mary was the last of nine siblings, deceased are Samuel Morrison, Maude Rinehart, Robert Morrison, Mabel Schooley, Alice Burson, Ellen Kodger, Florence Teeter and Thelma Coleman.
Her family will receive friends Wednesday, November 28, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home, where her funeral service will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Dr. Beverly Hall will officiate.
Burial will follow in Shauck Cemetery.
Contributions in her memory to Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, Country Meadow Care Center, or Southern Care Hospice may be made at the funeral home.
