Josephine Bell Sexton, age 90, passed away January 25, 2000 at Heartland Healthcare in Whitehall. She was born March 5, 1909 in Rush, Kentucky to Ralph and Hattie Wallace. She was married to Arthur, who preceded her in death in 1970. She lived in Kentucky and West Virginia before making her home in Wayne, MI, in 1953. She loved to sit on her front porch and visit with her neighbors. Because she enjoyed playing bingo so much, her grandchildren called her “Granny Bingo”. She is survived by her only child, Billy (Diane) Sexton; four grandsons, five great grandchildren; and one new great-great granddaughter. She is also survived by three sisters, Francis Moore of Ashland, Kentucky, Thelma Biesdorfer of Groveland, Florida, and Edith Hall of Rush, Kentucky; one brother, Daniel Wallace of Dearborn Heights; and several loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, four brothers and two sisters. Funeral services are to be held on Monday, January 31, 11:00 a.m. at Lazear Funeral Home Chapel in Ashland, Kentucky with burial following in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
