Killed By Fall From Bridge.

While at work on a bridge of the C.R.R. of N.J., near Newark, on Friday afternoon, George Shearer, of this town, stumbled over a block of wood and fell into the river below, where he drowned before assistance could reach him, although his body was soon recovered. Shearer was married and had lived in this section since last February. The funeral services were held from his late home on Sunday afternoon and were attended by a large number of his fellow workmen, and representatives from several lodges and societies, of which he had been a member. The Uniformed Rank, Jr. O.U.A.M., escorted the remains to the grave, where they took charge of the burial.
