GEORGIA – Services will be Friday, at 11 a.m. at the New Bethel Baptist Church for Ms. Darlene Lard, 57, formerly of Youngstown, Ohio who made her transition on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at her home with her loving family surrounding her.

Ms. Lard, loving called “My Love” by her daughter, was born Oct. 23, 1955, in Youngstown, Ohio (Mahoning County) a daughter of Ellis and Delores Rozier Moody.

She was a 1974 graduate of South High School, Youngstown, Ohio and a member of the Cuseta Christian Church.

She enjoyed cooking, fishing and being with her family.

Darlene was an employee for many years with Roller’s Place and prior to her illness, worked as a manager at C Staples Barbeque.

She leaves to mourn her passing, three children, Darlene “April” (Stacey) Gray, with whom she made her home, and Dwayne Moody and John Lard, both of Youngstown, Ohio; a sister, Janet Moody (who was called “Sister” by Darlene) of Youngstown; three brothers, David “Ricky” Rozier, Ellis Moody Jr., and Michael Moody, all of Youngstown, OH; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Besides her mother, Delores Moody, Darlene was preceded in death by two brothers, Tyrone and Mark Moody.

Friends may call Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
