James Thomas Sullivan was born 12 Sept 1867 departed this life 29 Sept 1943 making him 76 years and 16 days old. At the age of 21 he was married to Leona Kate Calhoon. To this union 9 children were born, 6 boys and 3 girls: W.O. and Brady Sullivan, Greensburg, Ky., Foster Sullivan, Stearns, Ky., Finis Sullivan, Evansville, Ind., Christeen Murray, Greensburg, Ky. The rest of which preceded him in death. Besides his wife he leaves to mourn his passing, one brother, Theodore Sullivan, Hardin Co., 2 sisters, Viola Rucker and Lizzie Wilkerson, Greensburg, Ky., 14 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a host of other friends and relatives. Early in life he professed faith in Christ, later joined the Bethlehem Baptist Church where he remained a member, always going to church until ill health prevented his going. To know him was to love him. He is gone but not forgotten. Funeral services were held at the church in which he was a member Thurs. at 2:30 pm by Rev. Claud Squires. His remains were laid to rest in the Bethlehem cem. The pallbearers were Leonard Wilkerson, Walter Harmon, Edgar Rucker, Junion Sullivan, Udell Sullivan and Sam Edd Lowe.
