YOUNGSTOWN, OH –John G. Kaluczky, 96, passed away Saturday evening, Feb 9, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.
John was born June 9, 1916, in Youngstown, Ohio a son of John and Barbara Gyetko Kaluczky.
He graduated from East High School and served in the Navy during World War II.
John was a member of Wm. Penn Branch No. 28 and a member of the church.
He worked at Republic Steel as a head loader and then as a guard at a branch of Bank One.
John was married to his wife, Helen R. Matasy on Aug. 16, 1938.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; three daughters, Joan Kaluczky of Strongsville, Ohio, Jeanette King of Painesville, Ohio and Barbara Spencer of Youngstown; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Kaluczky and two sisters, Elizabeth Rhodes and Rose Matasy.
Services will be held on Friday, feb 15 at 11 a.m. at the Holy Apostle Parish St. Stephen of Hungary Church
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the church.
Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be given to Youngstown Angels for Animals Shelter or a charity of donor’s choice.
Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
