Stanley “Stane” Krulc, age 78, entered into eternal rest on Nov. 27, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his loving family.
He was born April 21, 1934, in Drtija pri Moravcah, Slovenia and was a resident of Willoughby Hills, Ohio for the past 18 years.
Mr. Krulc was a union carpenter and during his retirement, Stane took a keen interest in beekeeping.
He spent many peaceful hours in his bee sanctuary, many times with his grandchildren who always wanted to accompany grandpa to “the jungle”.
He was a member of Slovenska Pristava, Slovenska Pristava Pensioners Club, the theatrical group “Lilija” making stage sets, KSKJ Lodge 169, an usher at St. Mary’s Church and was very proud to be a 51-year member of the Carpenter’s Local Union.
To his children, Stane was affectionately referred to as “Superman” due to his invincibility and unwavering loyalty, love and support.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Milka (nee Kosmac); loving children, Sylvia (Branko) Pisorn, Stanley (Denise) Jr., Julie (Joe) Tromba and Susan (Fraser) Hamilton; cherished grandchildren, Veronica (Aleksandar), Darja, Urska and Andrej Pisorn, Kathryn, Stanley III and Matthew Krulc, Vince, Joey, Sophia, Michael and Dominic Tromba, Fraser Jr., Gil and Isabel Hamilton; and dear siblings, Maks, Mici and Pavla (all of Slovenia).
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Terezija, Feliks, France and Nace.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at St. Mary’s Church, 15519 Holmes Ave., Cleveland, OHIO 44110.
Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
The Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Zevnik-Cosic Funeral Home, 28890 Chardon Road (between Bishop Road and Route 91), Willoughby Hills, Ohio.
