MANSFIELD: Verka Bulakovski, 92, of Mansfield, Ohio passed away early Saturday morning, November 23, 2013 at Liberty Nursing Center of Mansfield.
She was born November 27, 1921 in Selo Capari, Macedonia to the late Menka (Nachovska) and Nikola Gechevski.
Verka enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.
She attended Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church.
Verka is survived by a son, Kosta (Mary) Bulakovski of Ontario, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Zivka Bulakovski of Australia; four grandchildren, Steve (Joy) Bulakovski, Jim Bulakovski, both of Ontario, George (Elizabeth) Bulakovski and Kris Bulakovski, both of Australia; six great-grandchildren, Jordon, Sasha, Cameron, Bianaca, Adam and Chantel; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rista Bulakovski; son, Vlade Bulakovski; sisters, Daisda and Cveta; and brother, Yordan.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Monday, November 25, 2013 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield, Ohio with a Trisagion Service at 7:00 p.m.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 265 W. Third St., Mansfield with the Very Rev. Dusan Georgievski and Father Michael Ellis presiding.
Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church.
