Mary Moran, 90, of Greensburg, Ky., died on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2002, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. Funeral was at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 31 at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg. Wednesday, September 04, 2002 Laveria Vaughn Scott, 86, of Greensburg, Ky., died on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2002, at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg, Ky. Daughter of the late William "Bill" Vaughn and Edna DeSpain Vaughn, she was born on Nov. 27, 1915, in Green County, Ky., and was a member of Summersville Baptist Church for more than 50 years and was a homemaker. She was married to William Vester Scott on Dec. 8, 1945, who preceded her in death on July 8, 1987. Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Thomas Scott of Louisville and Bobby and Susan Scott of Gabe; one sister, Eudora Chaney of Greensburg; one grandchild, April Scott of Nashville, Tenn.; three step-grandchildren, Joe Calhoun of Campbellsville, Lynn Bankard of Missouri and Will Calhoun of Greensburg; and five step-great-grandchildren, Kenneth Scott, Jacob Scott, Sarah Jo Vaughn, Emily Vaughn and Jacob Vaughn. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Frank Vaughn. Funeral was at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 27, at Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg. Burial was in Bennett Cemetery. The Rev. Wilburn Bonta and the Rev. Irvin Milby Jr. officiated. Pallbearers were Eddie Bailey, Eddie Hayes, Roger Skaggs, Steve Stewart, Philip Dobson, Jim Vaughn, Joe Calhoun and Gary Larimore. Honorary pallbearers were Allen Bankard and Will Calhoun.
