Michael (Mike) Glad - Bridgetender - Lockport, IL

My Great Grandfather, Mike Glad, was a bridgetender In Lockport on the bridge that turned in the middle of the canal. I believe this would have been sometime between 1910 and 1955. Any information anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated. I'm having a very hard time finding anything about him. Thank you.

John Schuler was in Lockport, Illinois, 1840. He was one of the original land owers from the canal.
He was listed as a boatman. Please any help will be appreciated.
