Leon Dollet arrived from Bruay, France with his family on August 16, 1900 to work as a coal miner in Roanoke, Illinois.
Leon Dollet 37, his wife Victorine 30, two sons, Leon 11 and Edouard 9. According to the passengers list, he already had a brother working in the coal mine.
On the 1910 Census-Illinois, Pekin, Tazewell Co. I found
Leon 44 years old (coal miner),
Leon 20 (coal miner),
and a new son Verna born in 1903. Edouard is not listed.
Living relatives in France are trying to find out if there are any Dollet descendants of Leon.
On their behalf, thank you for any help.
Sincerely, Liliane White
