I found the deaths of two brothers on November 13, 1909 in an on-line index of mining accidents in Illinois (1889-1948). Now I am trying to learn where the deaths occurred. For both brothers, the Index makes reference to page 251--perhaps in a companion document to the index.
In the index, the names of the brothers were shown as Alexander and John Pearson, ages 30 and 37, respectively. They had emigrated from Sandhult, Sweden. When the younger brother whose name was Axel (not Alexander) emigrated in 1901, his stated destination was Spring Valley, so I assume his older brother John was living and working in Bureau County. Possible alternative spellings of the surname include Person, Persson, Pehrson and Pehrsson.
