THORNVILLE: Paul M. Wilson, 98, of Thornville, Ohio formerly of New Lexington, Ohio died at 8:56 p.m. Sunday, September 11, 2011 at Autumn at the Lake.
Paul was born March 22, 1913 in New Lexington, Ohio the son of the late James L. and Rose Spohn Wilson.
He attended Forest Dale School and graduated from New Lexington High School.
He was a member of Fairfield Beach United Methodist Church where he had been a former trustee.
Paul farmed all of his life; was a former coal miner for Sunny Hill Coal Mine for 12 years; and was a bus driver for Clayton Twp., then for Northern Local School District for 15 years. He was the former owner/operator of the Big Rock Dairy Freeze at Fairfield Beach.
Paul is survived by his wife of 59 years, Annabelle Lattimer Wilson, whom he married June 8, 1952; two daughters, Carolyn Clark of Fairfield Beach and Brenda LeKites of Berlin, MD; three grandchildren, Aaron Clark, Ashley LeKites and Daniel LeKites; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Sperry and Lucille Adams.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, September 15, 2011 at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset, Ohio where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 16, 2011 with Pastor Terry Borah officiating.
Burial will follow in Mount Perry Cemetery, Mt. Perry, Ohio.
