I am looking for information on Charles McGuire, born 1835 in Ireland, and a police officer in New York City in the 1860's. The family always said he had been a polceman in New York City, and I have a photo of him in a police uniform with a high plumed hat. There are three other officers in the picture, and I'd be gald to share. The picture is markerd 229 Bowery, NY. He moved to Toledo Ohio and became a police officer there about 1870.
