Surnames: Merrill Grow
My grandfather (Ruben C. Merrill), great grandfather (Joseph W. Merrill), uncle (Ruben L. Merrill), and several other relatives (last name Grow) worked for the railroad in Iowa(milwaukee road is one of them).
I am trying to find employment information. Since my grandfather died in 1934 when my father was only 4 it has been difficult to backtrack. I am sure that on census information my grandfather and great grandfather are listed as Station Master while my uncle is listed as telegrapher.
My grandfather was also a Mason and in his obituary it stated that he worked for the Milwaukee Road for over 30 years.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
