My Tangers came to the US thru NY, on the Rhein in 1884. They were Maria the step-mother, Louisa, Max, Wilhelm and Emil. I don't know what became of all but Wilhelm. I found him as a farm worker on the 1900 census in Galen NY. He later became a tugbaot captain. Sorry my response is so late, I have been out of Ancestry for a while.
