Hi Mary, Have you looked for him on the census or in directories in Chicago? My Michael and his brother, Patrick, may have come from Co. Roscommon. Michael married Kate Caulfield, who also had a brother, Patrick Caulfield, who came to Chicago. My theory is that after the Great Fire, the contractors in Chicago advertised for stonecutters in Europe because of the terrific demand when they built the first skyscrapers. If you find out anything, please let me know. Thanks,
