If he played in NYC, the theater collection of the NY Public Library may have newspaper clippings. If so, they will provide copies. Also, if you have the patience, go to the eBay auction site and regularly search on his name---put it in quotes and be sure to call for a search that looks at both the item title AND the item description. He is unlikely to appear in an item title which will probably be something like "Vaudeville Playbill". However, the description of the item may include the names of the performers. I had fairly good success at eBay, even found a cabinet photo of the act I was interested in. However, I haven't used their search engine for some time and it's probably different now so you'll have to check out how to get it to do the equivalent of what I suggested. Of course, you then have to win the bidding process. Alternatively, most items are pictured and you can simply print out the picture. Good luck. Jim
