Mr. Alfred Brown, 84, departed this life on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at Danridge Burgundi Manor, Youngstown, Ohio.

Mr. Brown, affectionately known as “Piano Playing Brown,” was born Feb. 17, 1928, in Campbell, Ohio a son of Boykin and Eddie Will Hardy Brown.

He worked 39 years as a machine operator with the Erie Lackawanna Railroad, retiring in 1990.
He was a self-taught keyboard player and enjoyed cars.

He leaves to forever cherish his memory, a host of family including two special cousins who were his caregiver, Daniel “Buzzard” Smith and Jan Wright, both of Youngstown, Ohio; a nephew, Rick Brown of Cincinnati, OH; and many dear friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Marcus and Herman Brown.

Friends may call Monday evening only from 4 to 6 p.m. at the L.E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home.

The family wishes in lieu of flowers, that contributions be made to the funeral home.
