I wonder if anyone knows how to find archived records for the Tietjan and Lang Dry Dock Company. My great-grandfather may have worked for them in 1910 and I would like to find the relevant records. I am also wondering if there is a connection between that company and the C.F. Teitgen, a ship that sailed between Norway and New York City.
Thank you,
Alice@europa.com

Captain William Vicary 1806

I am searching for information on the seafaring career of Captain William Vicary of Philadelphia. His last voyage as a merchant sea captain was to the east Indies and ended in 1806. The ship was apparently named the Liberty.

There is also a mention of a Captain Vicary (Vickery) carrying the Jay Treaty back to the U.S. in a brig named "The Thomas" in 1794 or 1795. Any ideas on how I can research this?
