Theron Hawks Wallace
Looking for information regarding Theron Hawks Wallace, born in Belmont County, OH, about 1876, who worked for the Milwaukee, Chicago, St Paul railroad from about 1900 to at least 1930. He was a steam shovel engineer. His 1918 WWI draft registration card describes him as having one foot amputated. I'm looking for his employment records and any possible mention of an on-the-job accident that led to his losing a foot.
He was in the Milwaukee area 1900-1906 or so, then is found in Mason City, Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, still employed by the railroad. He is listed as head of household, occupation Steam Shovel Engineer, in the 1930 census for Mason City with his wife, daughter and son-in-law Joseph Fiala. I have no death date for him.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
