Can anyone help me find out if my Great grandfather was ever a Texas Ranger .... On my grandmothers birth certificate it says he was a "lawman". Many of the older relatives say he was. But I have no way to get to Austin, Texas to the Archives to check. He was also hired by the Pinkerton's as an investigator and moved to Globe, Arizona to investigate a case there.
Doke Anderson Dawson was born 1874 in Junction, Texas. He lived in Texas
