Hi John -
I am currently a PhD student at Texas Tech and am writing my dissertation about oil field worker culture. As I was looking at old microfilm in the Southwest Collection at Texas Tech I found a newspaper article in the Big Lake Wildcat about the events that surround your grandfather's death. I am interested in the role that the Texas Rangers played in the oil field boom towns in West Texas. I'd really like to hear more about what you know about your grandfather.
