Hi Debbie,
I'm Clara Virginia Polk Smith's great-granddaughter; so I am kin to your husband.
I have the marraige certificate of Irena Miers and Warnell Polk; all of their land deeds from Caldwell county, and the (long, drawn-out) probate.
I also have a copy of Irena's marriage to second husband. Everything is scanned. Email if you want copies and I will send them to you.
They are having a huge ceremony in June for our ancestor, Jonathon Clower ( Irene Miers Polk's grandfather) he is the oldest American Rev. vet. buried there. I have the Am. Rev. records if you want them. If anyone wants to join DAR, we are eligible.
Robin
