Heather, I can fill you in on the maker of your Sennet violin along with his family. He was my GrGrGranduncle. Born in Funkenhagen, pommern, Prussia in 1863, immigrated to Chicago with his parents in 1867, began a violin/mandoline company in Chicago before moving to Dallas in 1903. His son Walter was a talented violinist and music professor. Took a job in LA with the California Music Conservatory. Frank his father and mother Helen and sister Eleanore along with her husband relocated from Dallas to LA in 1922. F.A. Sennet died in 1931 in LA. Contact me for more info on Frank's family. According to the Book of American Violinemakers, F.A. Sennet finished about 450 violins and his labels on those violins were hand written. I have been researching his Sennet branch for about 20 years.
