I want to thank you for responding to my email. After my request, we were in the process of building a new home and then ultimately relocating. This particular violin was made in 1927 and it is a beautiful tigar maple. Its been in our family for over thirty years. My father purcahsed it from a member of the RI Philharmonic for me when I was in third grade. We polished it and played it today and it is certainly a fine instrument. We plan on having it in our family for years to come. Thanks again and I greatly appreciate you detailed response.
