I also have been searching for information on John Thompson and Margaret (Carnes) Houston. They were the parents of my GGGrandmother Rebecca. I know Rebecca was born 14 May 1841 in Alabama and died/buried in Blair OK 11 June 1929. She married Thomas Hawkins in Corsicana, Navaro County, Texas in 1865. I have never found who Margaret Carnes parents were. I noticed you post was in 2002 and thought you may have gotten some additional information by now. If so I would be most grateful for any info you could give me. Thanks Dawn Hayes
