I'm sorry, but my health is such that I would not be physically able to help, but are you aware that this cemetery has already been transcribed and is listed on the usgenweb.com site for AR, Lee County? I did see the article in the local paper. Dr. Campbell was informed by Nancy Apple (she and a friend transcribed the cemetery)that this had been done, but I assume he's wanting to do some historical background on the individuals buried there. I've never personally been to the cemetery (tried to find it several years back as I was told it was very grown up. I had suggested to a member of the Walnut Grove Baptist Church that they could possibly get the regional state prison to let some of their inmates work to clean it up. I don't know if it's been cleaned and taken care of better. I'm assuming since Nancy was able to transcribe it that someone cleaned it up. Did you graduate from the public schools here? I was a teacher in the schools from 1978 to 1889, 1999-2006. Thanks for contacting me and if there is anything I can do from the comfort of my computer (lol), please let me know.
