Hello Mr. Crenshaw,

I was reading your query on our website and I’m not for sure what you are looking for exactly, but I searched the census records for the years 1900 and 1870. He appears on the 1900 census as follows:

1900 Census Arkansas Jefferson County-4 WD Pine Bluff Vaugine Township (ED 105)

JB Bolden Nov. 1858 40 LA Preacher

Nancy Jan. 1870 30 LA

David Sept. 1881 18 LA At School

Adeline Sept. 1882 17 LA At School

Solomon Oct. 1893 06 LA

1870 Census Louisiana East Feliciana Parish 2nd Ward Clinton

B Bolden 45 Farming

Martha 40 Keeping House

Josephine 14

Lizzie 12

Jonas 10 (I’m thinking this is JB, however, more research required)

MJ 04

Mahala 02

Do you know the location of Blue Vein Baptist Church? There was one here at one time in Little Rock and it was Blue Vein 1st Baptist Church. The next step would be to see if we could obtain a church history from someone who may have attended the church. Church histories sometimes include the names of the deacons and ministers that served the church and were on the roster.
