Raabe is spelled in various ways... Raab, Rabe...etc. It is German and goes back to the 12th century. In English it means "Raven", according to my German father. In Germany, it prounced like "Raba" with the rolling of the "r". My grandfather Albert was born in Baden and moved to Westphalia in the 1900's.
