Hello!
My great grandfather was Adam Maurer, born approximately 1860 in Tennessee. His father was Christoph Maurer and mother Mary Roth. They were from Baden, in SW Germany. They had emigrated to the New Braunfels settlement in Texas in the 1830s.
Adam had brothers Joseph, George, John, Cristopher and 1 daughter Katherine. She married Pat Carpenter.
This is all oral history, no family documents to substantiate.
Adam married Sarah Shields about 1886.
