I'm descended from William H. Buxton, (born about 1815).
He was last listed in AR filing on a piece of land in Benton Co, AR in 1860. He also appears in the 1850 Fentress, Co, TN. census, wherein he lists VA as his birthplace. Another researcher, told me that his father was John O'Kelly Buxton. I find John listed in Morgan, Co, TN. in 1850 & 1830, he also lists VA as birthplace. Beyond that I have run into a wall. Would you have anything that might confirm this connection between William H. Buxton & John O’Kelly Buxton? John O'kelly Buxton is supposed to be the son of Lt.
