I have a document from the state of NJ that John Mott of Little Egg Harbor NJ served in the active military forces during the period of the Revolutionart War 1775 - 1783 as follows: Recieved certificates signed by James Fenimore for the depreciation of his Continental pay in the Burlington County Militia as follows: No. 121, dated May 1, 1784, for 1:5:0 for services as Sergeant: and No. 251, dated May 1, 1784, for 3:15:0.

I am wondering if this is the Same John Mott that was married to Phoebe Cranmer. It gives no personal information on John Mott. I would like to know that connection because then I can begin to process my application for membership.
