Depends upon where and when - and what the person's occupation was. The "F" stands for "Fellow" - GBS could either be a medical society (of recent vintage) or - if from Hong Kong, the Order of the Gold Bauhinia Star. There may be other societies with "GBS" - you need to find more about the person's occupation and education.
