For those from the Downriver area of Wayne county and doing research try the Downriver Genealogical Society's library. It's housed in the Taylor, Michigan Library on Pardee Rd. Their hours are limited because it's run by member volunteers and you know how hard it is to get volunteers. Tues, Weds, Thurs from 1 to 5. They have a ton of obit's from the local papers. I know some go back 50 to 60 years. Might be even farther. They also have marriage announcements. If you're from the area think about joining. It's only $15 a year and they do trips to Salt Lake City and Allen County Library. Here's their web page http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~midrgs/drgs.htm Check out the publications they sell but if you don't want to buy them then go to their library and you can look through them for free.
