Surnames: Losh, Smallwood
I'm a little late to this board, but I've been trying to sort out the Losh family as well. My husband is a great-great-grandson of David and Elizabeth Smallwood Losh, through their son Joseph Robert, his son Ephraim Edward, and Ed's daughter Velva. I think that David's name was possibly Daniel David or David Daniel, as the marriage date would be about right. I also found a census that listed David's name as Daniel. I have a copy of the Exponent article, but I don't have much faith in it, as I believe somehow along the way there was a bit of confusion about Sarah Curry's actual age. I'd be very interested in hearing from anyone who is researching the Losh family and sharing what I have.
