Thanks for the reply. I'm concerned about the privacy issues of living individuals. There are those that say it's not a big deal and then others warn that you need to protect information about living individuals at all costs. I would guess that most lineage groups are quite responsible but if anybody is free to view what you submit, there is the risk of abuse.

I understand the need of the society to verify your credentials but I was curious about what safeguards have been put in place to protect those applicants who submit information on living individuals from identity theft.
