Hi All,
I just found a certificate proclaiming my G-Grandfather a master mason from Quincy, Ma.
The date is listed as;
This seventeenth day of December A.L. 5897

The A.L.58 is printed part of the document where the 97 are written in ink. Does this mean 1897?
Thanks
Dave
