Surnames: Chilton, Chandler, Bundy, Shepard, Rice, Doolittle
I am a descendant of Isabella Chilton (James Chilton, Isabella Chilton, Martha Chandler, James Bundy, James Bundy, Peter Bundy, Esther Bundy, Esther Shepard, William Rice, Lucinda Rice, Fannie Doolittle, then my dad and me.) The Mayflower Society can document the first 6 generations and I can document from the 8th or 9th onward, but I cannot find birth/marriage records for generations 7 and 8.
What will the state Societies accept? Are wills naming wife and heirs sufficient? Tombstones?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
