Classification: Query
Surnames: McCue, Segers
I have only just begun my research on my McCue family. My grandmother is the granddaughter of Arkie. Her mother was Nellie. I have yet to find Nellie's name in any of the census trees on this site. Nellie married Emry Welborn Segers. They lived in the Fairmount area of Bartow Co. as well as St. Clair County Alabama. Both the Segers and McCue sides of the family have been very hard to trace and I appreciate all of the information that you all seem to share.
I will let you know that I remember visiting Aunts Susie and Sally as a child. I do have a good idea where Arkie is buried at Old Antioch Baptist Cemetery here in Rome.
If you are interested in any information that I may have, please contact me. I must say that I do not have much, and my grandmother Virginia has Alzheimers...but she does recall some events and she has shared them with us.
I can say that Nellie went on to marry and produce 4 boys- Frank, Fred, Monroe and Van Buren and one daughter: Sterling Virginia. Virginia is the last of their children....

Thanks,

Cynthia P. Cooper
