Alberry & Katie Bice were at Catoosa Springs because the springs were suppose to have healing water. Alberry & Katie both died of Consumption (which is now called Tuberculois).

Asbury Bias, age 66, formerly a well known citizen, died in Catoosa County, Georgia, yesterday of consumption. The deceased had been ill for the past four years & his death was not unlooked for.

NOTE different spelling of his name. Asbury Bice died on Tuesday & was buried at Stone Church, Ridgedale on Friday. The deceased was well known in Chattanooga. He was removed from this city to Catoosa about two months ago. He leaves three daughters & three sons, living in St. Elmo.

St. Elmo Notes: Gosey's & Happenings In That Romantic Suburb; Miss Kate Bias of this place died yesterday at Catoosa Springs, Georgia of consumption.
