Hello Charles,
Sorry, I thought I'd replied to you earlier posting of the Lydia query.
Unfortunately I don't have any information on Lydia Ridg(e)way.
My Ridgways were probably of a different branch- they were all from Maltby, tracable back to the early 1700s.
I guess the various south Yorkshire Ridgways are likely to be connected, but alas the records pre 1800 are so patchy that it will be impossible to identify these connections.
