Thanks for the reply, but that only gets me to a gravesite database.
Specifically I'm looking for anything that leads me to the second generation John in this line. More specifically John1 of Dedham, John2, Thomas3, Nathaniel4, John5 (the patriot 1745-1817), and finally John6 (aka John Jr in this post).
This posting lists a daughter, Ann, but based on John6 birth date and location, he should also have a son John born about 1817. This is based on information collected by Daniel Cady Eaton in the 1880's, a founder of the Eaton Family Association. It lists a John7 as the son of John6 who has the same birth/death/location as the John Jr in this DAR listing.
Had we had this new info a few weeks ago, we could have looked it up at the DAR library when we were there.
I realize this is not an Eaton specific posting, but it's the only link I have at the moment.
