Hi Anita,

My guess is you descend from Christopher through the Lester Beatty line.

Your fortunate to have many a relative who claimed him in the SAR, he is also referenced in the DAR as well.

If someone in your family is pursuing SAR membership it may be noteworthy for the point of accuracy to have the SAR "clean up" his records on the Patriot Index. He is listed seperatly 3 times by different family members and some of the information is conflicting.

Also, the DAR has him as CS Maj. meaning "Civil Servant" like Sheriff, Constible, etc. assuming his ending rank was Col. and you had a female family member to get involved in the DAR it would be a great opportunity to update his service record. (or you can send them a SAR "file copy".

This first subset of information contains the most accurate I can see by comparing sources:

SERV:Col PA Militia
BIRTH:#101163, 117678 shows Bucks Co, PA
DEATH:#101163 shows 20 Feb 1802, Greensburg, PA; #117678 shows 20 Feb 1802 Mt
Pleasant, PA
SAR #101163
FL #02451
SAR #117678

Secondary Entry:
SERV:Col PA Mil
DESC:Truby, William
ANC #006257
PA #00057
DESC:Truby, Charles Marion
ANC #029126
OH #01326
DESC:Sharretts, Paul Douglas

Third Entry:
SERV: Maj CS PA Mil
SAR #134741
WA #01618

I'll email you a PDF file of the reports I ran for your reference.
