Susan,
I'm sorry I can't be of more help but the only Odoms in my family tree are from Chesterfield county SC. My ggg-grandfather was Edwin Odom who married Tamar ? Edwin was born in 1796 and Tamar was born in 1798. Both are buried at Bay Springs Baptist Church cemetery. One of their daughters, Phoebe Odom married my g-g grandfather, William Goodale.
I hope to do more research on the Odom's in the future. The Marlboro county cemetery survey at the South Carolina Dept of History and Archives mentions many Odoms. You might could also call the Bennettsville museum and see if they have any family files on the Odoms. I know they have many family records.
Sincerely, Norma
