Hello ,
I am hoping someone might have some suggestions for searching for my great grandmother who was born around 1885 in England .We know very little about her except that her name was Nellie Sutherland and she came to Cape Breton,Canada prior to 1901 with her twin sister Winifred.
Nellie always told that she was a home child and she had close connections to other home children in the area .Nellie and Winifred were placed with a Cameron family in Louisboug ,Cape Breton .All members of that family passed away before May 1942.Nothing shows up here in Cape Breton ,it is like they didn't exist.
