Hi again
When Ada came she was only maybe 5 yrs old - would she really know her birthdate? Most bdays on the census are incorrect. I have 3 different bdays for one of my HC's! Children under a certain age (8 yrs) - the term adopted was used instead of indentured - it was just a 'word' as adoption didn't become legal until 1921/2? Some children were moved again a year later - but maybe Ada was lucky and taken in as a family member and treated good?
