My father-in-law , Richard Zahn , was a psngr on a train from N.Y. to New Orleans in the early 1900's . He was received into the Catholic Orphanage in New Orleans and dispersed to a family in Patterson louisiana by the name of Solar (?). Through out my travels in the states , I would call all of the Zahn's listed in phone books to no avail . Only a few times was I able to get close to answers , due to , someone who knew someone who knew someone . However , due to time , and logistics , i never received any information with merit . Richard had always wanted to know who his family was , but unfortunately , passed without knowing if he had any brothers, sisters , cousins , etc.
My wife had a friend with the state of Florida, who had excess to certain computer files , and connections in NYC that went to addresses there, attempting to locate information. She has all of this information still , in hopes of continuing the search , but , even at our young age of mid-sixties , it is doubtful anything will be be dicovered in time .

Thanks,
Clyde Domengeaux
