Orphanage in Montgomery, Alabama

I am looking for any orphanges that were beeing run in Montgomery, Alabama in the 1940's - 1950's. My dad was adopted from one but I do not know the name and he si not interested in finding his birth parents. Can you help me? His original name was James T. Skidmore. Thanks.
