I am pretty certain there was no orphanage in Tuscaloosa. If you wish, you can consult a directory prepared by the federal government, catalogued as :
UNITED STATES. Bureau of the Census. Children under Institutional Care and in Foster Homes, 1933: Dependent and Neglected Children under the Care of Public and Private Institutions or Agencies, Not Including Juvenile Delinquents, prepared under the supervision of Dr. Leon E. Truesdell. Washington, D.C.: Govt. Print. Off., 1935. iv, 125 p.
As far as I know, the 1933 special census did not collect the names of the inmates of institutions, just statistics.
You could also check the front pages of a city directory for Tuscaloosa, to see if they list benevolent institutions. Or you could read all entries in the federal census of 1930, which would include names of inmates.
